New London Utilities is currently taking applications for a journeyman line mechanic.
This is skilled, technical work in the construction, repair and maintenance of the electric distribution system including overhead and underground electric systems. This position requires working knowledge of electrical principles and the ability to apply them to construction, repair, and troubleshooting responsibilities. Employees frequently work with high voltage wires and under unfavorable weather conditions.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A valid State of Wisconsin Drivers License and have a Commercial Driver’s License.
- Willingness to work overtime and stand-by duty.
- Ability to perform heavy manual labor in all weather conditions.
- Minimum 1 year experience as a journeyman.
- New London Utilities offers competitive wages and benefits. Wage based on experience. Journeyman $60.74-65.85/hr.
